I'm borrowing the headline Scott Stiffler used in his article capturing our interview. (check it out!)
2016-2017 snowballed. And now I'm here in Florida beginning my time with Feld Entertainment for their show Marvel Universe Live!
Acro Captain at the Metropolitan Opera two times a week, interacting with famed director Robert LePage.
Rehearsals of Dragon Slayer, a new musical, weekdays.
Rehearsals for Babel, a large scale dance/acrobatic piece, 1-3 times a week.
Performed with new acro partner Hannah Risner.
I HAD A BLAST!!
It was a pleasure to pick Robert LePage's brain. To learn the complexities of direction in such a physical world as Cirque Du Soliel, the giant world of opera (especially the Metropolitan Opera). The crew of acrobats I got to surround myself with were unforgettable and taught me so much. I am so thankful for them and the entire Met staff.
Dragon Slayer became an exciting show where I could feature all of my best stunts. I was able to get my hands dirty with some fight choreography, and flip around the stage while singing and dancing. (Can't forget to mention the wonderful mustache i had going for the pizza chef)
And Babel is unforgettable. A 22 person ensemble all on stage together. Be built towers, knocked them down, and told the story of language and community (without words!). This is a project dear to my heart and one whose life continues even while I am away. Check it out: here
What else did I do before starting in with Feld? Oh, traveled to Paris for 3 weeks, saw and trained some circus, and took part in a feature film coming to a movie theatre near you this December. More on that later. Thanks for reading!
Been crazy with a couple adventures recently.
Chances to see me perform. Chances to support.
